With over 35 years of experience in the fashion industry, Ms. Bonnie Broel has created a legacy that extends beyond her expertise in design. Beginning her career by making custom dresses for clients, she eventually purchased a neglected antebellum mansion on St. Charles Avenue and restored it to its former glory. In 1980, Ms. Broel began dedicating the first floor of her mansion to weddings, receptions offering her clients a historic home atmosphere for their special day. Her contributions to the fashion industry have not gone unnoticed, with Ms. Broel being awarded the International "ROSE" Award for Retailer of Style and Excellence in 1991 and the Lifetime Achievement Award from Fashion Group International in 1992.
Ms. Broel's passions extend beyond fashion and design, as she became an ordained interfaith minister in 1997. She now offers caring and romantic wedding ceremony services to couples. Her book "HOUSE OF BROEL, The Inside Story" is an inspirational read that shares tales of her noble family and her historic New Orleans Garden District home.
